HTML Coder/Web Designer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative utility player that can leverage their strong HTML skills and web design experience to manage and enhance an email marketing and social media platform that supports our Foundation’s national animal welfare program.

You must be a self-starter, professional, and have prior experience working with email marketing tools, customizing Facebook pages, and designing and coding for the web. You’ll need to execute and improve on existing social media strategies, understand the technology and how to use it, and find ways to report results in a timely and efficient manner. This is a role that requires creativity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
• Works closely with team to plan, design, and build a wide-variety of flexible email templates
• Customize Facebook Fan pages and maintain up to date knowledge on Facebook capabilities.
• Manages workflow and competing requests in order to design and build emails that are scalable and create the greatest impact for our groups.
• Collect and structure information from multiple sources for weekly reports
• Should personally be fascinated by and regularly use networking, feed, bookmarking, blogging, and user-generated content sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Windows live spaces, WordPress, etc.
• Flexible and intuitive personality who can manage complex internal and client relationships
• Ability to generate ideas and work within minimal guidance

Required Skills
• 2-4 years of coding and web design experience.
• Solid knowledge of HTML as used in email and email marketing
• Prior experience with Wordpress and ability to customize themes a plus
• Understanding of email marketing and best practices a plus
• Experience with Photoshop and Dreamweaver
• Ability to be self-sufficient, detail-oriented, organized and motivated to excel
• Proven time management skills – must be able to work independently and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing priorities, including working with a high volume of ongoing projects with fast turnaround
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining ability to see the big picture
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The role is a contract position that may convert to full-time employment after three to six months.
